At runMyPharmacy, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you create an account, use the application, or contact us for support. This may include:

  • Account details: name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash).
  • Pharmacy information: pharmacy name, address, and configuration settings.
  • Operational data: sales transactions, inventory records, purchase orders, and supplier details entered into the system.
  • Usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and actions taken within the application.

We do not collect payment card numbers or process payments directly through our platform.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the runMyPharmacy platform.
  • Process and display your pharmacy's operational data (sales, inventory, reports).
  • Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support issues.
  • Analyse usage patterns to improve the platform's performance and features.
  • Ensure security and prevent fraud or unauthorized access.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We will never sell your personal information or operational data to third parties.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We employ industry-standard security measures including:

  • Encrypted data transmission via HTTPS/TLS.
  • Hashed and salted password storage (bcrypt).
  • Role-based access controls to restrict data access within your organization.
  • Regular security reviews and dependency updates.

While we implement appropriate safeguards, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and enable any two-factor authentication options when available.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: We may engage trusted third-party services (e.g., hosting, email delivery) that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of runMyPharmacy, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfer: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction, and you will be notified in advance.

runMyPharmacy uses minimal cookies strictly necessary for the application to function correctly, including:

  • Authentication tokens to keep you signed in securely.
  • Session preferences to remember your settings.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. You can clear cookies in your browser settings at any time, though this will sign you out of the application.
